Hello, Mr. Sandman
Why you always skipping past my house?
Ooh my eyes are heavy, but it seems my dreams are always dipping out
Mind working overtime while all the lights are low
Though I cannot find a reason to get up and at ‘em
No I can’t put on a show the way I’m feeling now
When I listened to the voices I lost sight of mine
At first it was a choice, but it forced itself with time
I know I’ll get it back in line somehow
Til then I’ll fight this battle with my doubts

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
